More rain likely in Sialkot

Moderate rain lashed Sialkot and its adjoining areas on Monday morning, bringing down the temperature to many degrees. The rain had brought some relief, but due to the chocked city sewerage system, many busy roads submerged in rainwater as a result of which, the citizen, especially pedestrians, are facing hardships.
To add to the miseries of the people, the autorickshaw and pickup drivers, are fleecing the passengers by charging extra money.
According to agriculture experts, the current rain spell would be helpful for obtaining better yield of paddy crop in the district. Meanwhile, the Met office had recorded 31.4-MM rain during the past 24 hours and expects more rain in Sialkot district and adjoining areas.
