Chairman, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Gulzar Firoz has urged the government to enhance its activities in developing alternative energy resources to meet the power shortage in the country.
He also demanded that the government should announce an incentive package for private sector to come forward and take part in power generation. He said that the government emphases should be on developing coal and solar energy.
Pakistan has enough resources of coal that can be utilised for overcoming power shortage. He criticised the increase in gas tariff and demanded its withdrawal in the best interest of the country.-PR
