Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Dr Hamida Khuhro has ordered the authorities to forge a disbursement plan and ensure that no student of class one to 10 is deprived of free textbooks.
The minister in a review meeting, held here on Monday, also directed for timely, transparent and judicious distribution of these textbooks before the start of next academic session ie August 15.
Sindh Text Book Board (STBB) Chairman Aziz Mehranvi informed the minister that the disbursement of free textbooks would be start from July 10, and the entire process would be completed in the first week of August. He also informed that the federal government had delayed the clearance of books of mathematics, physics and computer. The meeting allowed the board to publish/reproduce old titles of these subjects. The minister assigned Chief RSU Iqbal Hussain Durrani to monitor disbursement of free textbooks through STBB.-PR
