The forthcoming visits of Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Ehsan Saleem Hayat and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Afzal Tahir to Britain this month would help further deepen and strengthen defence relations between the two countries, said Pakistan's envoy to London Dr Maleeha Lodhi.
Briefing reporters about the visits at the Pakistan High Commission here on Thursday, she said General Hayat would be visiting Britain from July 16 to 20. He is coming at the invitation of his British counterpart Sir Mike Jackson, who paid a visit to Pakistan in November 2005.
