The All Pakistan Organisation of Small Traders and Cottage Industries (APOSTC), Karachi Chapter, has demanded cancellation of the privatisation of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), and warned that if the loadshedding persisted in the city they would not pay electricity bills.
APOSTC Karachi President Mehmood Hamid, addressing a meeting of Saddar area traders here on Thursday evening, demanded of the KESC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frank Scherschmidt to unveil the "black sheep" before the people, who were hatching cruel conspiracies regarding loadshedding in the city.
He said the statement of Scherschmidt was disappointing and aimed at preparing people and traders of Karachi for even worst conditions ahead. He demanded that after the statement of Schmidt the privatisation of the KESC should be cancelled.
