Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly and MMA Secretary General, Maulana Fazlur Rahman has warned that the country is heading towards a dangerous political situation and demanded that General Musharraf should quit the Aiwan-i-Sadr.
Talking to a party delegation led by naib amir Maulana Syed Ameer Hussain Shah from Okara, he said that Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) did not have any contact with MMA in connection with the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly and if they decided for a solo flight, it would badly fail.
The MMA leader said that scam of Pakistan Steel Mills and stock market crash have resulted billions of losses for small investors. Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that the MMA has formed a committee to review the Presidential Ordinance of women rights, which will soon complete its report. The opposition leader also alleged that rulers are intervening in the AJK elections where MMA victory is sure by all means.
