Two persons were killed and several injured when a Multan-bound passenger bus coming from Lahore rammed into a truck in the rear on the highway on Wednesday. According to Motorway Police, the bus (LXP-1495) coming from Lahore smashed into a coal-laden truck (QA-7263) some 5 kilometres from here.
As a result, security guard of the bus, Muhammad Salim resident of Chakwal and the truck conductor Karchi Khan of district Bolan, Balochistan, died on the spot.
Several bus passengers suffered injuries, and were discharged after being given medical aid at the district headquarters hospital. Kabirwala Sadar police have registered the case against the bus driver who has absconded.
