Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa has succeeded General Raheel Sharif to become Pakistans Chief of Army Staff (COAS), on Saturday.
Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa, was working as Inspector General Training and Evaluation, at GHQ, a position previously carried by General Raheel Sharif before he became the army chief.
As per reports, Bajwa belonging to Baloch regiment, has vast experience in issues pertaining to Kashmir and northern areas.
He has worked as Commander of the all important Corp 10 considered the biggest and important Corp. He has also served as chief of Force Command Northern Areas and also commanded as Brigadier while commanding a peace mission to Congo.
Whereas, Lieutenant General Zubair Hayat belonging to Artillery Division has succeeded General Rashad Mahmood, and has become Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
