Sindh Minister for Industries, Commerce, Labour, Transport and Co-operation Adil Siddiqui has said that provincial government will take stern action against the smugglers and illegal manufacturers of fake oil lubricants, which has been affecting the real businessmen of lubricants and giving huge loss to the economy and government exchequer.
He was speaking as a chief guest at a reception hosted by Mian Zahid Hussain President Al Pakistan Lubricants Manufacturers Association (APLMA) here at local hotel, a statement said here on Sunday.
The minister said the provincial government would approach the Federal Government to take up the illegal and smuggled odd lubricant issue.
"In this regard I, along with businessmen related to lubricant industry will approach the Prime Minster for the permanent solution of this matter," said Adil Siddiqui.
He further said during the last three years a number of small industries have been developed in the province and in future more effective policies would be pursued for the uplift of the industrial sector. This, he said, will further enhance the
investment opportunities and minimise unemployment.
"Now the main task and concentration of provincial government is to improve the traffic management system for the peoples of Karachi," he added.
President APLMA, Mian Zahid Hussain in his welcome address, appreciated the efficient working of Sindh government for the development and promotion of trade and industry in the province.
Speaking as a guest of honour SM Muneer said that the FPCCI, would facilitate the APLMA to resolve the problems being faced by the lubricants industry of Pakistan.
Secretary Industries Sindh, Nasir Hayat, Chairman Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, Gulzar Firoz, former president FPCCI Tariq Sayeed, Chairman Baig Group, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Sheikh Manzar Alam and prominent people of business community were also present on the occasion.
