Commodities fluctuated both ways on the wholesale market and JB during the week ended on July 29, 2006. However, plastic mouldings showed some changes and on the higher side.
Plastic mouldings HDPE film (per lb) Saudia 952 was up Rs 2 to Rs 47.25, Mobil up same amount to Rs 47.25, and TR 144 up Rs 2 to Rs 47, HDPE injection Sabic 20056 ended higher by Rs 1.50 to Rs 47, Mobil 016 up at Rs 47, Luck up Rs 1.75 to Rs 46.25.
MDPE blow Kuwait closed higher by Rs 2.25 to Rs 48, Marlex up Rs 1.75 to Rs 47.25 and Iran up Rs 1.75 to Rs 46.75. LDPE 374 closed up Rs 1.75 to Rs 79, MG 20 up by Rs 2.50 to Rs 50 to Rs 50, and MG to up Rs 1.50 to Rs 50, LDLDPE W118 up Rs 1.50 to Rs 48.50, 7087 up Rs 1.50 to Rs 48.50 and Sabic 500026 up by Rs 4 to Rs 52.
Polypropylene film Thai was up 75 paisa to Rs 47.50, Kuwait up 75 paisa to Rs 47.50, India up 75 paisa to Rs 47.50. Injection grade Saudia was up 50 paisa to Rs 47.50, India up 50 paisa to Rs 47.50, and Kuwait up 50 paisa to Rs 47.50. Copoly block was up 50 paisa to Rs 49, Random up Rs 1 to Rs 51, ABS polylac 707 up Rs 50 paisa to Rs 3350, Khumo up Rs 100 to Rs 3200.
Elsewhere, masoor Canada was up Rs 50 to Rs 2750, masoor dal up Rs 50 to Rs 3050, and masoor dal India up Rs 50 to RS 3250. Urad Burma lost Rs 50 to Rs 1650. Wheat Mexipak old was sold at Rs 115 and new registered at Rs 1130. Rapeseed Dadu low type was up Rs 20 to Rs 700, and good one gained Rs 25 to Rs 750.
On Monday rice prices were seen rising while other fluctuated modestly. Irri rice 9 Sindh better kind rose by Rs 100 to Rs 1700, while other type was unchanged at Rs 1650.
Basmati rice D-98 of Shahdabkot rose by Rs 200 to Rs 2300 and other was quoted higher at Rs 2350; basmati D-98 Bagrjee gained Rs 150 to Rs 2350 and better type quoted at Rs 2400; basmati 385 was up Rs 15 to Rs 2550 and better type at Rs 2600, basmati 386 rose by Rs 150 to Rs 2150 and better type was quoted at Rs 2200, super basmati old was higher at Rs 3400 and better at Rs 3800, new of the same quality gained Rs 200 to Rs 2900 while better was quoted at Rs 3200, super basmati Sindh gained Rs 50 to Rs 2450 and better was up at Rs 2500. Wheat Mexipak was up Rs 10 to Rs 1125 and Mexipak new gained same amount to Rs 1140.
On Jodia Bazar, chemical caustic soda flakes Saudi closed up at Rs 34, Sodium Sulphate up 25 paisa to Rs 8.50, formic acid Pak moved up by Rs 2 to Rs 46, same item from Germany up by 40 paisa to Rs 55.60, Citric acid China down by Rs 2 to Rs 44, petroleum jelly PVA Japan higher by Rs 2 to Rs 144, Sitara caustic soda flakes up by Rs 2 to Rs 33, and hydrosulphate China 88 pc moved lower by Rs 1.50 to Rs 44.
On Tuesday gram garda was up Rs 50 to Rs 3025 and better up at Rs 3100, gram garda up Rs 50 to Rs 3025 and better up at Rs 3100, gram dal garda Punjab up Rs 50 to Rs 3500 and better at Rs 3575, yellow peas Canada up Rs 65 to Rs 1450 and better up Rs 50 to Rs 1500, beetle Chana 1 lost Rs 25 to Rs 31125 and better quoted higher at Rs 3200, beetle 50x50 shed Rs 50 to Rs 3050 and better quoted at Rs 3125, wheat Mexipak old Canada up at Rs 1115 and better quoted up Rs 1120, Mexipak new was being sold at Rs 1130, while better type was quoted at Rs 430.
Guwar lower type shed Rs 50 to Rs 1800 while better was quoted at Rs 2100. Irri 6 Sindh was up Rs 10 to Rs 1340, Irri white gained Rs 10 to Rs 910/930. Cotton cake was up Rs 5 to Rs 690 and Rs 695.
On Jodia Bazar, mace moved higher by Rs 100 to Rs 22,500, nutmeg closed blower by Rs 200 at Rs 8000, big cardamom closed higher by Rs 200 to Rs 9,600, dry ginger was lower by Rs 850 to Rs 3950, saunf lost Rs 400 to Rs 4000, Isbaghol bhoosi down by Rs 800 to Rs 12,000, Sago turned lower by Rs 30 to Rs 1,170 cumin seed down by Rs 400 to Rs 4500 and darchini down by Rs 100 to Rs 2550.
On Wednesday, wholesale commodities and in Jodia Bazaar (JB) fluctuations supplied by the traders was miserly. On the commodities side wheat mexipak new was quoted at Rs 1120 while old was registered at Rs 1135. In JB jute goods twine (per kg) 8x3 was up Re 1 to Rs 61 and hessian cloth 50x8 up by Rs 25 to Rs 1450.
On Thursday trading continued sluggish though gram garda Punjab was up by Rs 25 to Rs 350 and better was quoted at Rs 3125, gram dal Punjab up Rs 30 to Rs 3550 and better was quoted at Rs 3625 yellow peas up Rs 25 to Rs 1475 and better quoted at Rs 1550, yellow peas dal and better quoted at Rs 1550, yellow peas dal Canada up Rs 35 to Rs 1610 and better up at Rs 1660, beetle chana I rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3150 and better at Rs 3225, makai low type shed Rs 15 to Rs 725 better type up Rs 25 to Rs 775, barley Sindh and Mardan shed Rs 75 to Rs 1080, wheat Mexipak plus Rs 5 to Rs 1115, other type was quoted at Rs 1135.

Mexi Pak on Friday rose by Rs 5 to Rs 1120 while the other was quoted at Rs 1135, Guwar was up Rs 50 to Rs 1850 while the better type was quoted at Rs 2100.
JODIA BAZAAR SHOWED THE FOLLOWING VARIATIONS: white pepper up Rs 600 to Rs 9000, white pepper Singapore up Rs 250 to Rs 4950 black pepper up Rs 500 to Rs 5100, big cardamom up Rs 400 to Rs 10,000 and cloves finished up Rs 200 to Rs 14,000.
