JOHANNESBURG: South Africa's 2011/12 sugar output is estimated at 1.909 million tonnes, from a previous forecast of 1.932 million tonnes, the South African Sugar Association (SASA) said.
Sugarcane crush was forecast at 17.072 million tonnes from 16.982 million tonnes, the industry association, which represents producers and millers in Africa's biggest economy, said in a statement posted on its website.
