The Co-ordination Council for Promotion of Shah Latif Bhittai Studies here on Friday has approved the development of a CD of selected poetry of Shah Latif in the voice of two singer brothers.
The meeting was presided over by Patron-in-Chief of the Council and Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Mazharul Haq Siddiqui while heads and representatives of stakeholder literary organisations were present on the occasion.
The meeting in connection with the better reading and understanding to Latif's poetry further decided that as a pilot project a CD of Bhittai's poetry would be developed along with musical instruments especially in dominantly of Tamboora which had remained a unique relationship with poetry of Latif.
It also decided that in a CD, its first phase eight selected poems in voice of two singer brothers Mazhar Hussain and Zulfiqar Ali would be recorded and also same in voice of Syed Saleh Muhammad Shah would be inserting in the CD.
The meeting for development of CD's project also approved a budget of Rs 72, 000/- for preparation of CD as a pilot project. It also approved development of another CD comprising of Latif's poetry in voice of Syed Saleh Muhammad Shah, which already finalised recording by Institute of Sindhology along with some selected poems of Latif.
