Repeated showers disrupted Germany's wheat harvest this week, but the crop outlook remains positive and the wet weather has not prompted quality concerns, analysts said on Friday.
"The risk of quality damage has increased but currently there is no cause for concern about wheat and I have not had any reports of actual damage," one analyst said.
"Rain is more likely to cause damage to rye. The main quality danger to wheat is when it is beaten down by the wind and rain.
"Up to now quality in the north has been generally good."
Showers are again forecast over north and east Germany this weekend but from Monday dryer weather is expected.
Farmers' association DBV estimates the wheat crop will fall to 21 million tonnes from 23.6 million last year.
