Dr Cao Qiang, Vice-President Mobility Division, ZTE Corporation, during his address at a opening session of the ITCN Asia, 2006, highlighted the future march to the Next Generation Mobile Networks (NGMN) and ZTE's commitment towards this trend beyond 3G.
During the ITCN media session, Salman Malik General Manager, Business Development ZTE Pakistan said, "Pakistan is one of the fastest growing telecom markets in the region, and of strategic importance to ZTE's phenomenal international growth. ZTE has played a valuable role in Pakistan's telecom revolution by successfully undertaking various key projects and has established itself as a leading telecom innovator with focus on R&D and customised solutions." ZTE Corporation, a leading global telecommunications equipment and network solutions provider, demonstrated its latest technologies at ITCN Asia 2006, on the opening day at the Karachi Expo Centre.
Under the theme 'Making the World Converge" at the event, ZTE demonstrates latest solutions for 3G wireless (HSDPA, IMS, CDMA2000-lx EVDO), NGN, Optical Transmission and BSS/OSS. Large number of visitors also showed keen interest in ZTE mobile phones (30, GSM & CDMA), FWTs and data cards at the booth. "ZTE Pakistan started its operation in Pakistan in 1998. Within this short span, ZTE Pakistan has established itself as a leading telecom solutions provider in the country and has contributed positively in the growth of Pakistan's telecom sector," Salman Malik. ZTE has played a key role in Pakistan's Telecoms revolution by successfully executing major infrastructure projects.
With professional staff of over 1,000 it has operations throughout Pakistan with offices located in 36 cities. ZTE Pakistan offers solutions ranging from Wireless (GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, WiMAX), Optical transmission, Data Networks, Next Generation Networks, Value Added services and Handsets.
