The dualisation of Lahore Kasur road first phase-Kahna to Khaira distributary would be completed by the end of current fiscal year at a cost of Rs 670 million.
Provincial Minister for Communications and Works, Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din Khan has stated this while presiding over a meeting, held to review the pace of work on the road, here on Friday. Secretary C&W Ahmed Yar Khan and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
Secretary C&W told that 60-percent construction work on 11.5-km long road has been completed and Rs 220.748 million have been earmarked for the current fiscal year. He further said that Rs 459.015 million had been spent up to June 2006 on this project. The minister directed the Chief Engineer to accelerate the pace of work on this project.
