A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association has served a legal notice to executive director Lahore Arts Council (LAC) asking him to stop holding of a competition of songs on Mehndi scheduled for August 19.
M.D. Tahir in his notice contended that holding of such programme is against the injunctions of Islam. He therefore, asked executive director LAC not to hold the programme in question otherwise he will approach the court of law against him for violating the injunctions of Islam.
