A meeting of steering committee on Darra Adam Khel sporting arms Common Facility and Training Centre (CF&TC) was held in Islamabad with Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives, Jahangir Khan Tareen in the chair.
A spokesman of Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (Tusdec) said here on Monday that the meeting was attended by Federal Secretary, Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives, Chairman Tusdec, Chief Executive Officer- Smeda, Director General- Defence Export Promotion Organization, Darra Adam Khel Project Team of Tusdec, arms manufacturers of Darra Adam Khel, representatives from Engineering Development Board, Fata Secretariat and District Management of Kohat.
Tusdec is setting up a Common Facility & Training Centre (CF&TC) in Darra Adam Khel to help elevate its hunting and sporting arms industry. Initially, at least 25 local manufacturers will be selected for the training purpose. The Centre is likely to enhance the existing production capacity of the industry to five times in one year and more than 10 times after three years' efforts.-PR
