France's second-largest consumer broadbank provider, Iliad, on August 22 launched flat-rate offer for high-speed access plus telephony, in a move to increase competition in the French telecoms market.
Its 'Free' brand will charge 29.99 euros ($38.57) per month for the ADSL service which is available to almost the entire French population and Free had 1.9 million customers at end June, of which 72.3 percent were already using an unbundling service and bypassed France Telecom.
