The supply of natural gas to Murree Hills is indeed a magnificent landmark that the present regime can genuinely be proud of this project which has been completed in record time under the directive of President General Pervez Musharraf will bring socio-economic revolution in the life of people of this area and help preserve the ecological system.
The timely completion of this project bears testimony to the expertise dedication and efficiency of the technical teams of SNGPL who have managed the supply of gas to this remote area over very difficult terrain.
The government is focusing specific attention for the promotion of energy sector which indeed is an important element for the speedy growth of economy of any country. During the last few years there was a significant increase in the indigenous gas production from the newly discovered gasfields, which gave boost to the socio-economic development activities in the country.
I am sure that the SNGPL will continue to expand its gas transmission networks to the remaining far-flung and remote areas of the country in future.
