The issuance of passports against approved applications, both ordinary and urgent, has slowed down because of short supply of passport books by the Security Printing Press, causing great hardship to applicants.
The regional passport office at Karachi has a large number of applications, including women and children, who have been calling for collecting their passports according to the given date on the receipts they were issued.
They are calling every day for collection of their passports but many among them returned back disappointed because their passports are not ready.
