Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui has announced establishment of Site Association and Police Liaison Committee. He made this announcement at a meeting of Site Association of Industry (SAI) on Tuesday.
He said that the liaison committee would have representatives of SAI and police department. The committee will prepare a comprehensive programme in a month for improvement of law and order and traffic in Site industrial area.
He said that a specialised force in industrial crime handling would be posted in Site area.
He said that crimes committed in industrial areas are generally organised crimes and these crimes could be handled with specially trained force. He said that the department is ready to 100 percent increase police force strength in Site industrial area.
He assured the meeting that officers posted in Site area would not be transferred for three years. Welcoming the guests, SAI Chairman Ameen Bandukda emphasised on increasing police force in Site area for better crime control.
