Provincial Police Officer (PPO) Sindh, Jahangir Mirza has asked police officers and personnel to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, devotion and honesty and ensure cordial relations with law abiding people to effectively act against criminals.
He was speaking as chief guest at 123rd passing out parade of the police officers here at Police Training College on Wednesday. He emphasised the need for restoring confidence of the law-abiding people in police. This could only be possible when the police officers and personnel shall behave gently with them and take prompt action against the criminals and their activities.
Expressing his satisfaction over quality and latest training to passing out batch of the officers, Jahangir Mirza said that it was the prime responsibility of all police officers and personnel that they should have proper knowledge about the law, community development, social contracts and use of latest weapons to root out the criminals and anti-social elements from the province.
He advised the passing out officers and personnel to adopt people friendly behaviour and ensure the protection of the life and property of law abiding people and gain their confidence so that they could be able in maintaining complete law and order in their respective jurisdictions.
About the problems, being faced by the officers and personnel, the inspector general of police Sindh said that steps were underway to provide better residence and health facilities besides quality education. He assured the release of required funds for construction of boundary walls, roads and residential quarters at the Police Training College, Shahdadpur.
Earlier, the Principal Police Training College Shahdadpur, Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, in his welcome address, highlighted the performance of the institution and the problems of different natures. Provincial police officer also took salute of the passing out parade of the officers and personnel.
