The implementation upon Gender Reform Action Plan (Grap) in Punjab was underway and Rs 608.819 million will be spent on different projects initiated under the Plan. Punjab Women Development and Human Rights Minister Ashifa Riaz stated this while talking to the representatives of different NGOs here on Wednesday.
Ashifa Riaz said the elimination of gender disparity is the top most priority of the present regime, and various steps have already been taken to overcome this issue. The provincial minister said that awareness in the society on gender issue was inevitable to attain the objectives in real sense.
She also emphasised the role of print and electronic-media in this regard, saying said that "Grap" programme would create new parameters at the grassroots level.
