Ladies compartment

It is pathetic that male passengers occupy seats in ladies compartment of coaches and wagons due to which women, particularly school and college girls, face great difficulties and inconvenience. In recent past, our traffic police started a drive against this dilemma and imposed penalties on the spot.
The drive got successful results, but after passage of time and some leniency, male passengers have restarted to occupy the ladies seats with enticement of drivers. It has also been observed that some drivers do not allow ladies in peak hours and allow men to occupy ladies compartment.
It is unfortunate that passengers who enter the ladies compartment are well educated and office going persons. It has also been observed that some unscrupulous men in ladies compartment do not pay respects to female passengers. The government and traffic police are requested to look into the matter seriously and restart the drive against such passengers and drivers.
