Modest changes were marked on the commodity wholesale markets where fluctuations were usually also seen modest during the week ended on September 9, changes were in commodities like teas, gram garda and dal, barley, raw rubber, Irri Sindh 9 etc.
THE FOLLOWING WERE THE CHANGES IN THE IMPORTANT RATES ON WHOLESALE COMMODITY MARKETS: Masoor Australia rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2,700, Masoor Canada rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,700, dal India rose by Rs 300 to Rs 3,000, Guwar inferior lost Rs 50 to Rs 1,650, and better type shed Rs 25 to Rs 1,750, and gram garda turned weaker by Rs 25 to Rs 3,275 and better was quoted at Rs 3,375.
At Jodia Bazar milk powder (Per bag of 25 kg) Euro Gold ended better by Rs 175 to Rs 4,700, Corolac closed higher by Rs 400 at Rs 5,400, Bale Vale rose by Rs 50 to Rs 4,700, and Malco Veg rose by Rs 100 to Rs 4,275 and unsweetened (Per Carton) King of Kings closed higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2,050.
ON MONDAY THE FOLLOWING CHANGES WERE MARKED IN TEA PRICES: Kenyan tea PF-1 A grade closed down by Rs 5 to Rs 195, B grade lower by Rs 4 to Rs 191, plus C grade went down by Rs 4 to Rs 184 and C grade down by Rs 2 to Rs 170, BP-1 A grade rose by Rs 2 to Rs 200, B grade ended lower by Rs 2 to Rs 181, plus C grade ended lower by Rs 2 to Rs 170, and C grade shed by Rs 3 to Rs 167, D-1 A grade down by Rs 3 to Rs 227, B grade ended lower by Rs 4 to Rs 216, and plus C grade down by Rs 3 to Rs 202.
Dust A grade moved up by Rs 55 to Rs 165, B grade up by Rs 3 to Rs 140, plus C grade closed lower by Rs 5 to Rs 110, Indonesian PF 1 Good A closed higher by Rs 8 to Rs 160 and Good A ended higher at Rs 139, Tanzanian (CTC) ended higher by Rs 10 to Rs 145, BP-1 (CTC) moved higher by Rs 5 to Rs 135, and PD (CTC) up by Rs 10 to Rs 45.
On wholesale commodity markets rice Irri while low type quoted at Rs 890, while better type quoted unchanged at Rs 900, Guwar inferior type closed higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1,675, and better type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1800, wheat Mexipak old and new both lost by Rs 5 to Rs 1,140 and the other was quoted at Rs 1155.
On Tuesday commodities gram garda Punjab lost Rs 50 to Rs 3,225 and better type quoted at Rs 3,450, beetle Chana 50x50 rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3,250 and better was quoted at Rs 3350, and dal beetle picked up same amount to Rs 4,100 and better quoted at Rs 4,200, barley Sindh and Mardan rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1,100.
At Jodia Bazar had raw rubber from Ceylon RSSV ended lower by Rs 3 to Rs 69 and pale crape TPC 3 rose by Rs 5 to Rs 73, Latex semnan ended down by Rs 30 to Rs 450 and Thai (G.T) down by Rs 30 to Rs 450.
On Wednesday only change on the commodity wholesale market was seen in cotton cakes with bag which showed it closed with Rs 50 loss to Rs 700 and better one quoted higher at Rs 750.
RATES FROM JODIA BAZAR WERE NOT AVAILABLE: On Thursday wholesale commodities depicted down trend as Irri -rice Sindh went down by Rs 50 to Rs 1,700 while better type was quoted at Rs 1,750, Basmati 386 gave same amount to Rs 2,250 and better type was quoted at Rs 2,300, while Sela basmati lost Rs 100 to Rs 2,400 and better was quoted at Rs 2,600. On Jodia Bazar Kirana items such as black pepper from Singapore closed up by Rs 400 at Rs 9,600 and dry ginger moved up by Rs 200 to Rs 4,400.
Friday saw firm day but Jodia Bazar noted heavy changes in HDPE film Saudia 952 closed lower 50 paisa to Rs 51.50, Mobil closed down same amount to Rs 51.50, HDPE injection Sabic 20056 shed Rs 1 to Rs 53, Mobil 0.16 lost Rs 1.50 to Rs 51.50 and Lucky shed Rs 1 to Rs 51, HDPE blow Kuwait down by Rs 1.25 to Rs 49.75, market lost same amount to Rs 49.75 and Iran lost Rs 2 to Rs 49, LDPE 374 shed Rs 6 to Rs 53, MG 20 down Re 1 to Rs 55, MG 70 down Rs 1 to Rs 55, LLDPE W118 was quoted at Rs 52.25, 7087 closed lower by Rs 2 to Rs 52, Polypropylene film Thai down Rs 2.50 to Rs 51.50.
Kuwait down same amount to Rs 51.50 Tape grade India shed Rs 2.25 to Rs 48.25 Kuwait down Rs 2.25 to Rs 48.25, Saudia shed same amount to Rs 48.25, injection grade Saudia down by Rs 1.50 to Rs 49, India shed Rs 1.50 to Rs 49, Kuwait down by Rs 1.50 to Rs 49, ABS (Per bag) Polylac 707 gave ground by Rs 100 to Rs 3,400 but Khumo gained Rs 50 to Rs 3,250. On Saturday commodity markets remained closed due to Shab-e-Barat.
