Police dispersed ARD workers' rally headed for Lahore near Khurrianwala here on Sunday morning and arrested about 90 workers, most of them belonging to PPPP. Police also got vacated the buses, which were moving to Lahore to participate in ARD protestations.
According to Riaz Ahmad, MPA, divisional co-ordinator of PPP, police ransacked the ARD protest camp in Khurrianwala and resorted to lathi charge on peaceful protestors. He confirmed that more than 90 workers and six buses were in the custody of police.
