The Customs Preventive Collectorate has seized 4.15 kilograms of heroin and arrested three people in different cases from Jinnah International Airport.
According to detail on Monday the Preventive Collectorate arrested a passenger Muhammad Munir, a Pakistani national, who was leaving for Kathmandu by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Flight No PK-268 and recovered 950 grams of heroin from his possession. The drug was concealed between the two layers of steel plate placed on the four-side wall of his suitcase.
In another attempt the Collectorate foiled a bid to smuggle 2.5 kilograms heroin and arrested a Malaysian lady passenger, Nor Azlina Binti. The lady was leaving Kuala Lumpur by PIA flight No PK-898. The drug preventive staff recovered the drug from her possession concealed in the bottom of her suitcase.
Another passenger, Mark Obi, who was leaving for Lagos via Dubai and Addis Ababa by Emirates Airlines flight No EK-607, was arrested. The drug preventive staff recovered 700 grams of heroin filled capsules from his possession.
