Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said that Indian government could not provided any proof to the government about Islamabad's alleged involvement in the Mumbai trains blasts.
He was talking to local news correspondents here after the Iftar dinner hosted in this honour by former NWFP MPA Syed Baidar Hussein Shah here on Tuesday. He said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and never thinks about such acts.
He said that Indian government levelled baseless allegations against Pakistan, while these were the internal elements that were involved in such acts. The Minister said that many separatist originations were active within the India and that would be involved in this act and we have nothing to do with such cases.
Responding to a question, he said that law enforcement agencies had launched massive probe to the rockets' presence incident case in front of the parliament and the elements involved in such terrorist act would be nabbed soon. Sherpao said that some suspects had been rounded up by the law enforcement agencies and would expect some good results soon.
Answering a question about formation of grand alliance by the opposition parties, he said that it was part of the game of politics that opposition alliances were formed but he said that "we can not see any threat from such alliances as the present political set up is in strong hands, while cracks has already appeared among the opposition parties over different issues". He said that the law and order situation in the country was satisfactory and the opposition propaganda was just blame game.
Minster of State for Revenue, Umar Ayub Khan, Minster of State for Education, Aneesa Zaib Tahir Kheli and former speaker National Assembly, Gohar Ayub Khan were also present on the occasion.
