Frontier Corps Balochistan (Pishin Scouts) have arrested an official of Afghan defence ministry in Chaman near Pak-Afghan friendship gate on Friday, an FC press release issued here said.
The official identified as Abdur Rehman, retired from Afghan army and now an official in Afghan defence ministry was trying to enter Pakistan without any legal documents. FC personnel arrested him, and during search an identity card of Afghan defence ministry was found, besides Rs 250,000 Pakistani currency and an equal amount of Afghan currency was also recovered from his possession.
It said that FC Balochistan have arrested total 1,850 Afghanis who entered Pakistan illegally during the last nine months. The arrested people have been handed over to the officials concerned. Besides, the FC authorities have sealed all border areas of the province along with Afghanistan and Iran.
