The 59th founding day of the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) government was observed on Tuesday by the Kashmiri people with renewed pledges and commitment to continue struggling till the liberation of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from Indian yoke.
Various functions were held in connection with the significance of the day. The Day was dawn with special prayers in all the mosques for the early liberation of occupied Jammu & Kashmir, for the progress, prosperity and integrity of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
Major function in connection with the Day was the Police Parade at the Police line here, the AJK President Raja Zulqarnain Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the AJK President paid glowing tributes to the valiant Kashmiri people for offering sacrifices for the noble cause of freedom.
AJK President in his brief speech on the occasion said that October 24 reminds us the great sacrifices offered by valiant Kashmiri people to get rid of Dogra and Indian subjugation saying the ongoing freedom struggle was the continuation of that struggle launched by our able leadership in 1947.
He said that the Day was not far when the occupied Jammu & Kashmir territory will be liberated and accede to Pakistan for which the brave Kashmiri people had been struggling and offering sacrifices for the last several decades. AJK President said that large-scale Indian atrocities and repression couldn't stop the valiant struggling people from their just right of self-determination.
