Faisalabad Dry Port handled 1,016 export containers during last week from October 16 to 21, said a spokesman of the FDPT. He said here on Saturday that most of the containers were dispatched to Karachi by road while 214 were sent through express cargo train.
He said special measures have been taken to send maximum export containers through Chinese train and in this connection two full and four partial trains were utilised. He further said that immediately after Eid only 78 containers were handled on Friday. He hoped that it would take another few days to fully restore the normal export activities at this upcountry port.
