A full scale emergency exercise would be held at Faisalabad International Airport on November 14, so that in case of any emergency, the ability of concerned agencies with regard to tackling the situation in a befitting manner could be assessed.
This was announced by Airport Manger, Civil Aviation Authority Faisalabad, Amanullah Alvi during a meeting of all concerned organisations held at the airport, here on Tuesday.
During the exercise, capacity of different agencies to react in case of crash of some airplane, evacuation of injured persons, provision of first aid & medical cover to them and ability of concerned agencies to minimise the damages to least possible extent would be adjudged.
Besides reviewing the role of all the concerned departments participating in the meeting, a briefing was also given to them relating to their assignments to be discharged during the exercise followed by a question answer session to remove ambiguities, if any.
DDO(R) Saddar Muhamamd Yaqoob, S P (HQRs) Sarfraz Ahmad Falki, PIA Station Manager Manzoorul Hassan, ASF Force Commander Sajjad Mansoor, DHQ Hospital DMS Dr Habib Buttar, Civil Defence Officer Rana Riasat Ali and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
