Hans-Joachim Kiderlen, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) in Karachi visited the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) recently. He attended a briefing on the institute and met with the faculty and management staff. He was accompanied by Farooq Hassan, Executive Director, Management Association of Pakistan.
Kiderlen visited various colleges of the institute and took keen interest in the state-of-the-art academic and career-oriented facilities at the IoBM. Talib Karim, Director Academics in a briefing informed Kiderlen that the IoBM was interested in initiating vocational training in various trades where technical co-operation might be undertaken with Germany.
Parvez Jamil, Media and Public Relations course instructor, said that without good knowledge of German language, it was not possible for anyone to study, train or research in Germany. He added that the Goethe Institute was conducting German language basic (Grundstuffe), Intermediate (Mittelstuffe) and Advanced courses.-PR
