China has omitted reigning singles world champions Zhang Yining and Wang Liqin from its Asian Games squad to blood new players, local media reported on Friday.
Chen Qing replaces world number one Zhang in the women's team, while men's number two Wang makes way for Hao Shuai, the Beijing News said, citing the official table tennis federation. The 15th Asian Games open in Doha, Qatar on December 1.
