In today's business environment which is full of risks and embedded technology, business continuity has assumed a new dimension. Realising the importance of managing business disruptions on account of any triggering event, specially in banks.
The State Bank of Pakistan had the foresight of issuing directives to banks to have Business Continuity plans, policies and procedures in place. Taking cue from SBP's directives, I am delighted that the professionals of the field of Business Continuity Management have started holding seminars and courses on this vital subject. I am also gladdened that these risk management professionals have organised an international conference drawing speakers from all over the globe. I wish the conference every success.
