Pakistan has assured UN's Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) of laying anti-money laundering bill before the Parliament before the end of this year to comply with its global anti-terrorism strategy.
Addressing a press conference at UN's Information Centre here on Wednesday, Javier Ruperez, Executive Director at CTED hoped that Pakistan, which has ratified 11 convention out of 13, would also ratify the remaining two conventions.
Pakistan is actively pursing reforms particularly in madrassah (seminary) and educational reforms and held negotiations with finance, intelligentia and security officials, Ruperez said.
"We are providing technical facilities for spreading tolerance, adequate teaching methods and promoting culture of peace," he said, adding that these reforms would provide better opportunities to the community by bringing them in the mainstream.
"Pakistan is not lagging behind in war against terrorism. We do recognise its efforts against the global war and the losses it confronted, which proved its sincerity," Ruperez said.
Commenting on Abi Zaid's remarks about Third World War, CTED Executive Director said, "this is a serious problem, as it is strategic threat not only to any particular country but to the whole humanity."
