The Sindh University's 550 candidates will receive degrees, silver and gold medals in academic convocation of University of Sindh to be held on December 15, 2006.
This was informed by Controller of Examination University of Sindh, to a meeting of convener of various arrangements committees, presided over by Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui on Friday in connection with to review arrangements for the convocation.
The Controller of Examination informed the meeting that 550 candidates have submitted their fee and applications to receive Ph.D., M.Phil, Post graduation and graduation degrees on occasion of the convocation. He further informed that 80 silver medals to departmental top and 18 gold medals would be awarded to faculty top candidates.
He said that on out standing performance nine memorial gold medals in the name of Allama I.I.Kazi, Sindh University Alumnae Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Muhammad Usman Deeplai, Sardar Malik Sikandar and a gold medals announced by Jamshoro Nazim on behalf of District government will be awarded to meritorious students of the University.
He said that Ansa Khadija Daudpota cash award of ten thousand rupees would be awarded to meritorious student of the Institute of Information Technology.
