Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has started consultative process to convene All Parties Conference (APC) on the issues of resignations and anti-government campaign.
PML-N Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra contacted Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmed Khan, Chief of Pakistan Democratic Party who is also Vice president of ARD, Barrister Taj Muhammad Khan Langah, Chief of Pakistan Seraiki Party and others but they declined to attend it because APC would be held in London.
However, they agreed to attend the Conference if it would be organised in Pakistan, sources said. However, the PML-N and PPPP leadership would participate in the APC. "We have started to contact other parties. As soon as this process concludes, the date for calling APC will be announced," PML-N spokesman added.
"It is our endeavour the decisions on resignations and anti-government movement are taken in APC," he informed, adding, the PML-N has called for high-level consultative meeting in London on December 4 to discuss matters related to preparations for the next general election and anti-government movement.
PML-N Chairman Nawaz Sharif and party president Shahbaz Sharif will preside over the meeting. PML-N members of national and provincial assemblies, senators and district co-ordinators will participate in the meeting. Party district co-ordinators from Punjab will present report from December 4-8 on prospective potential candidates of the party for the next general elections.
A meeting of PML-N provincial assembly's members will be held on December 9. Senators and members of the National Assembly will meet on December 10. Meeting of district co-ordinators from Sindh and Balochistan will take place on December 11-12 and district co-ordinators from NWFP will meet on December 14-15. PML-N will devise strategy for the upcoming general elections besides taking important decisions to launch anti-government movement.
