LHC adjourns hearing

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned the proceedings in a petition filed by directors Ittefaq Group of Industries challenging demand of excessive income tax as the petitioner counsel did not appear before the court.
The petitioner contended that the respondent officials had demanded excessive amount of income tax only to please their high-ups. It has therefore been urged to the court to restrain the respondent from harassing the petitioner and demanding excessive tax.
