Faisalabad district government will hold a seminar on health in the current month. It was decided here during a meeting presided over by DCO Major Azam Suleman (Retd).
Punjab Rural Support Programme District Manager, Mian Naseem Sadiq gave briefing in the meeting about the working of basic health units (BHUs) in the district since their take over by PRSP about two years back.
Doctors, posted in RHCs, BHUs and other hospitals, district and town nazims and representatives from different walks of life would be invited to the seminar in which Health department and PRSP officials would give presentations.
The seminar will formulate recommendations for the Health department suggesting measures to be taken for bringing about the desired level of improvement & efficiency in the RHCs, tehsil headquarter hospitals and other establishment working under the supervision of the Health Department.
The DCO ordered purchase of freezers as per demand for vaccine storage at the BHUs and the repair of 21 dilapidated zila council dispensary buildings. He asked the EDO Finance to release funds required for the purpose on priority basis.
