The stoppage of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) has created tremendous problems for Karachi's citizens going to work and coming back to home. Karachi is a metropolitan city of the country.
However, the present transport facilities in Karachi do not fulfil the current requirements. Due to shortage of public transport, the transporters take full advantage and treat general public like animals.
In peak hours, each and every mode of public transport remains fully occupied in which the most affected are women because male passengers occupy their seats.
In foreign countries, numerous transport facilities, such as trams, trains, shuttle service and electric buses are available to cope with the transport problem. Though the city government is doing a lot of development work in Karachi, however, the transport problem still needs serious attention.
In order to ease the present and future transport problems, the government is requested to restore the facility of Karachi Circular Railway and also introduce more transport facilities in the city.
