The balloting ceremony for the first phase of the education city was held here on Monday during which 525 house numbers were allotted to educationists who had applied for ownership under the project.
A large number of people attended the ceremony at Alhamra Art Center including project director Asif Farooqi, Principal Divisional Public School (DPS) System Captain (r) Naseem, Asif Kamal and other senior officials.
Education City is being developed near Soa-e-Aasil, Raiwind road. Houses of 3,5 & 7 marla size would be developed under the scheme and handed over to applicants at the rate of Rs 750,000, Rs 1050,000 and Rs 14,00,000 per unit respectively. An amount of Rs 50,000 would be charged for booking a house in any of the three categories.
