AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan on Wednesday urged the Indian rulers to accept the ground realities in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and move for the early solution of the Kashmir problem in accordance with the UN resolutions and as per wishes of the people of Kashmir.
Addressing reception arranged in his honour by the central Chief Organiser of All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference Captain Muhammad Sarfraz Khan (Retd) at Islamgarh near here, the AJK prime minister further said that India should resolve the issue peacefully adding that Kashmiris indigenous struggle for freedom could not be stopped through the suppressive means.
He said that Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with the wishes of Jammu & Kashmir people. He said that President General Pervez Musharraf initiated bold and courageous steps for the early peaceful resolution of Kashmir problem at the international level. He said that peace process would, indeed, be successful. India, he said, cannot keep Kashmiris in her subjugation for a long time.
Attique said that the recent general elections in Azad Jammu Kashmir were of significant importance in which the AJK people including Pakistan-based Jammu Kashmir refugees made the Muslim Conference victorious through landslide triumph on the basis of its ideology.
The AJK PM said that his government was utilising all possible resources under a comprehensive strategy to come upto the expectations of the masses. He said that the MC government was determined to make AJK a model state during next five years of its constitutional term.
Sardar Attique, who also heads the ruling Muslim Conference, earlier administered oath to the newly elected district office-bearers of the party. The ceremony was also addressed among others by Raja Zaffar Maharoof, Naveed Akhter Goga, Raja Riaz Akhter and Captain Sarfraz (Retd) and others.
