Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Umer Farooq (R.A) was observed with traditional zeal and fervour across Sindh on start of Islamic Calendar year. In this regard graceful seminar on "Youm-e-Shahadat Farooq Azam (R.A) & New Islamic Year" was organised on Sunday in Binoria University Karachi which was participated by thousands of teachers and students.
Shaikhul Hadith Mufti Muhammad Naeem, Maulana Abdul Hamid, Maulana Abdul Majyd, and other speakers lauded valuable services of Hazrat Umer Farooq (R.A) for Islam, saying they are the golden chapter of the history of Islam.
They said Islam strengthened after Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A) embraced Islam. Mufti Naeem said the Caliphate period of Hazrat Umer (RA) was a matchless model of an exemplary government, which would continue to provide guidance to the world till the judgement day. In his rule every person had got social security protection, he added.
He said only following rules of good governance as shown by Hazrat Umer Farooq (R.A) could save the Ummah from poverty, worries, injustices and aggressions in present era.
