At least six people were died and 13 others injured when a speedy wagon hit a parked trailer on GT Road in Rawat near here on Tuesday.
According to the eyewitnesses, a Toyota Hiace, No AJKE-8475, coming from Chakwal to Rawalpindi, in a bid to overtake another vehicle, rammed into a stationary trailer loaded with rice husk resulting in on the spot death of six people and injuring 13 others. Injured were rushed to nearby hospitals including Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and District Headquarters Hospital.
The condition of five seriously injured persons is stated as critical. Most of the dead and injured were going back to their hometown after performing duties in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
