NWFP Finance and Environment Minister Shah Raz Khan has directed authorities of district, tehsil and union council governments to ensure better financial and administrative discipline so the amenities of basic life can be provided to the masses at their doorsteps in a befitting manner.
He was presiding over a high-level meeting of second Provincial Financial Commission at Civil Secretariat here on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by all members of the Commission, including Dr Zubair Khan, Saeedullah Jan, Professor Rasheed Ghori, District Nazim Dir Bala Sahibzada Tariq Ullah, Town II Nazim Bannu Naimatullah Khan, Pir Khan Tanoli, Secretary Finance, Additional Secretary Local Government, Secretary Planning and Development and other officers.
The provincial minister also called upon the authorities concerned to bring further improvement in the process of accountability as well as audit system and perform their duties with honesty and dedication.
The meeting decided that institution of Provincial Finance Commission would be further strengthened and sufficient fund would also be allocated to achieve this end. The meeting also decided to take action against all officers of tehsil administrations that had not yet submitted details of utilisation of additional grants.
