Chairperson, National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence Production, MNA Fiza Junejo along with other members of the Committee visited Precision Engineering Complex (PEC) in Karachi on Tuesday. The PEC Senior Vice President briefed the Committee about the organisational structure and scope of the PEC activities.
He informed them that PEC was initially established as a manufacturing enterprise, which had now matured into a world class manufacturing firm and is ready to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements of its customers like Pakistan Armed forces, and commercial aviation giants like Boeing, General Electric Aircraft Engines, Snecma, FACC and Airbus Industries.
The Committee appreciated role of the organisation towards self-reliance in the fields of Defence Production and products for commercial aviation industry specifically the workforce at PEC, which is motivated to maintain a distinctive culture of quality assurance. The MNAs present during the visit were Tahir Bashir Cheema, Shakeela Khanum Rashid, Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, Abdul Waseem, Deewan Jaffar Hussain Bokhari and Professor Mushtaq Victor.
