UVAS syndicate meeting held

The Syndicate of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore in a meeting chaired by vice-chancellor Professor Dr Manzoor Ahamd approved the appointment of three each UVAS professors and experts from other sister institutions as members of the Advanced Studies and Research Board of the university for a period of three years.
The university professors are Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, Chairman Department of Pathology, Professor Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan, Chairman Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, and Professor Dr Muhammad Akram, Chairman Department of Poultry Production, while three other members from the sister organisations are Professor Dr Muhammad Siddique of the Department of Microbiology of University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Dr Shahid Rafiq, Director Animal Production, PARC Islamabad and Dr Shahnaz Adeeb Khanum, Senior Scientific Officer, NIAB Faisalabad.
The syndicate also approved the appointment of Professor Dr Haji Ahmad Hashmi, Chairman of Department of Parasitological, as Director Research for a period of three years till the date of his superannuation whichever is earlier.
