A sum of Rs 122 million are being spent on various uplift schemes including farm-to-market roads and provision of sui gas facility in NA-143 (Okara-I) during current fiscal year.
Federal parliamentary secretary for industries and MNA Rai Muhammad Aslam Kharal disclosed this while talking to APP here on Sunday. He said that a record number of uplift projects have already been executed while many others are in progress in his constituency (NA-143).
Giving details, he said that Rs 45 million are being spent on the construction of farm-to market and link roods and Rs 17 million are being spent on the construction of additional class rooms, setting up of laboratories in secondary schools, construction of boundary walls and repairing of buildings of various schools.
He said that the work on pipelines laying project to provide sui gas to chak no 32/2-R and 33/2-R at the cost of Rs 10 million is also in progress while the survey is being conducted for the provision of Sui gas to Yangpur and Bangla Gogera.
Rai Aslam said that Rs 50 million are also being spent for brick-lining of water courses in his constituency to ensure the irrigation water at tail end.
He said that Rs 149.3 million have already been spent on various uplift schemes including village electrification, widening of roads and construction of new link roads besides sewerage and soling schemes during past fiscal year.
