After a bipartite meeting, Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has accepted the demands of Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA). Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union has submitted demands to Wapda authority through a charter of demands.
Wapda has allowed paying hard area allowance to the staff employed at Pasni, Guddu, Muzaffargarh, Ghazi Barotha, Jamshoro, Lakhra, Panjgur, Basha and other projects.
Wapda authority has also allowed job and crew allowance to grid and transmission staff working in NTDC, distribution grids and 500 to 132 KV transmissions network. It has enhanced washing allowance for subordinate staff from Rs 30 to Rs 60 per month. It was also decided in the meeting to enhance motorcycle allowance from Rs 150 per month to Rs 250 per month to meter reading staff.
It was also decided to give hard area allowance to the staff posted at 500 KVA and 220 KVA grid station at Muzaffargarh. The demand to raise the amount of marriage grant from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 to the employees has also been accepted.
Chairman Wapda also assured that Wapda authority would continue to provide quality educational facilities to the children of Wapda employees and modern healthcare facilities to them as well as their family members.
